Take the 66-question test

What is the Soul Virtues Extractor?

It is an interactive personality-style quiz built around Soul Virtues language used in the UNDERTALE fan community. The experience asks how you usually respond to everyday choices, friction, responsibility, care, fear, promises, and long effort. It returns seven percentages rather than assigning points to only one color.

“Extractor” is presentation language, not a claim that the site can discover an objective soul, destiny, or medical trait.

What are the seven Soul Virtues?

  • Determination: choosing a direction and recommitting after setbacks.
  • Bravery: acting despite fear, uncertainty, or meaningful risk.
  • Justice: applying fairness, rights, and accountability beyond preference.
  • Kindness: turning compassionate concern into considerate action.
  • Patience: remaining regulated through delay, frustration, and uncertainty.
  • Integrity: keeping words, actions, and principles aligned under cost.
  • Perseverance: sustaining effort through repetition, difficulty, and slow progress.

How does the Soul Virtues Extractor work?

  1. The site randomizes 66 statements so sequence effects are not tied to one fixed order.
  2. You respond on a five-point scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree.
  3. Each prompt belongs to one virtue. Reverse-keyed prompts are inverted before scoring.
  4. The keyed responses within each virtue are averaged and converted to a 0–100 alignment score.
  5. The result ranks all seven scores and provides primary, secondary, shadow, and comparison readings.

Fifty-six prompts are scenario-based adaptations of public-domain International Personality Item Pool material, preserving direct or reverse scoring direction. Ten Determination prompts are original to SoulVirtues.com. See the IPIP public-domain notice and IPIP scoring instructions.

Why can the result change?

The formula is deterministic, but self-report answers can change with context, mood, recent events, interpretation, or whether you answered as your usual self versus an ideal self. Randomized order can also change what you notice, though it does not add random score points.

For that reason, the result is framed as a snapshot. A retest is most useful when you can explain what was different about the first response context.

How is this related to Jaden's project?

We appreciate the work Jaden put into his Soul Virtues Extractor and the inspiration it gave this project and the wider fan community. SoulVirtues.com uses a separately written question bank, one-virtue-per-item scoring model, interface, result explanations, and sharing implementation.

Neither project should be described as the official or definitive Soul Virtues test. SoulVirtues.com is not affiliated with Jaden, Toby Fox, UNDERTALE, or DELTARUNE.

Privacy and limitations

Individual answers are processed and saved locally in the browser for session recovery. Standard share text contains the final Soul and seven percentages alongside the matching language homepage URL; the locally generated image uses a language-specific homepage QR code. Neither includes individual responses or an account. The test is not a clinical assessment or a validated seven-factor personality inventory.
