UNDERTALE / FAN-MADE GAMES

Find the project page before you find the download.

Undertale fangames range from complete fan-made prequels to evolving AU demos and online projects. This guide links to creator-controlled pages so status, warnings, credits, and files stay together.

Fan-made and unofficial

Every project below is a fan work. None is an official Undertale sequel, prequel, expansion, or personality system, and inclusion here does not imply endorsement by Toby Fox or SoulVirtues.com.

Many fangames assume knowledge of Undertale’s routes, characters, and endings. Check each creator page for spoilers and content warnings before playing.

Notable projects with creator-controlled pages

ProjectWhat it isStatus to verify on the project page

Statuses change. Treat the linked creator page as the current authority rather than copying a version number from an old list or video.

A safer way to discover fangames

  1. Search for the project’s creator, team, or official account before downloading anything.
  2. Prefer the project’s own GameJolt, itch.io, website, Tumblr, or repository link.
  3. Check whether the page says complete, demo, early access, cancelled, or still in development.
  4. Read recent posts and content warnings; a popular old video may point to an outdated build.
  5. Avoid reuploads, unofficial mobile packages, shortened links, and pages that remove creator credits.

How these projects differ

A prequel such as Undertale Yellow builds an original journey around a known gap in Undertale’s history. TS!UNDERSWAP adapts an AU premise. DF CONNECTED adds an online social structure. DELTATRAVELER uses episodic crossover travel.

“Undertale fangame” therefore describes who inspired the project, not one genre, timeline, engine, or level of completion.

Fangames and the Soul Virtues test

A fan project may reinterpret a colored SOUL, trait, or route. Those choices belong to that project’s version. SoulVirtues.com keeps its seven behavioral scores separate from fangame lore and does not use a fan character as psychological evidence.
