THE SEVEN SOUL VIRTUES EXPLAINED
What do the seven Soul Virtues mean?
The Soul Virtues Test reads seven independent patterns. Kindness can coexist with Justice; Integrity can coexist with tact. A high score in one virtue does not automatically reduce another.

Seven colors. Seven different ways of choosing.
Each description below explains what a strong signal can look like, where it can become distorted, and which neighboring virtue people commonly confuse it with.
Determination
· THE COURSE SETTER ·
Determination turns preference into direction. It appears when you choose what matters, accept the cost of that choice, and return to it after circumstances interrupt you.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You recover by choosing a next move instead of waiting to feel ready.
Commitment becomes clearer when alternatives compete for your attention.
Other people may experience you as decisive when a situation loses momentum.
THE SHADOW
Resolve can harden into attachment to a decision that new evidence has already outgrown.
Recommitting is powerful; refusing to reconsider is only repetition wearing armor.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH PERSEVERANCE
Determination selects and renews the direction. Perseverance supplies the sustained effort that carries it forward.
Bravery
· THE FIRST MOVER ·
Bravery is action with fear still present. It does not require comfort or certainty; it becomes visible when something meaningful is worth the exposure, awkwardness, or risk.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You are more willing than most to enter a tense conversation before it becomes easy.
Uncertainty can sharpen your attention instead of stopping your movement.
You often make permission for others by being the first person to act.
THE SHADOW
Courage can become needless escalation when movement matters more than consequence.
The next brave act is sometimes restraint, preparation, or admitting that the risk belongs to someone else.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH JUSTICE
Bravery describes movement through fear. Justice describes the principle that decides what deserves defending.
Justice
· THE FAIR MEASURE ·
Justice notices unequal treatment and asks for a standard that can survive personal preference. It is less about winning an argument than making accountability apply consistently.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You look for whose voice, rights, or consequences are missing from a decision.
Loyalty does not automatically outweigh fairness in your judgments.
You are inclined to name a double standard even when silence would be socially easier.
THE SHADOW
A strong fairness instinct can compress complicated lives into a rule applied too quickly.
Accountability works best when it leaves room for context, repair, and proportion.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH INTEGRITY
Justice tests how a standard treats everyone involved. Integrity tests whether your own conduct stays aligned with what you claim.
Kindness
· THE HUMAN SHELTER ·
Kindness converts concern into behavior. It notices another person's strain and makes a practical adjustment—time, attention, patience, protection, or help.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You tend to register emotional weather that other people overlook.
Care feels most real to you when it changes what someone actually experiences.
You often soften difficult moments without needing recognition for doing so.
THE SHADOW
Care can become self-erasure when every need receives a vote except your own.
Kindness remains sustainable when it includes boundaries, honest refusal, and responsibility on both sides.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH PATIENCE
Kindness is oriented toward another person's wellbeing. Patience is the regulation that lets you remain steady through delay or friction.
Patience
· THE STEADY FIELD ·
Patience preserves choice under delay, irritation, and uncertainty. It creates a gap between stimulus and reaction, giving better timing a chance to appear.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You can remain usable when a process moves more slowly than expected.
Provocation is less likely to take control of your next decision.
You often improve a situation simply by not adding urgency to it.
THE SHADOW
Composure can become postponement when waiting feels safer than choosing.
Not every delay is wisdom; some moments need a boundary, a deadline, or a direct answer.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH KINDNESS
Patience regulates your response to friction. Kindness directs attention toward what another person needs.
Integrity
· THE INNER ALIGNMENT ·
Integrity keeps stated values, private choices, and public behavior in the same system. It becomes clearest when consistency carries a real cost.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
Promises continue to matter after the social moment in which you made them has passed.
You prefer a difficult truth to an easier identity built on concealment.
Your standards are most persuasive when no one is present to reward them.
THE SHADOW
Consistency can become rigidity when changing your mind is mistaken for betraying yourself.
Integrity includes correcting a principle that no longer produces the honesty or responsibility it was meant to protect.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH JUSTICE
Integrity asks whether you live by your own declared code. Justice asks whether the code distributes rights and consequences fairly.
Perseverance
· THE LONG CARRIER ·
Perseverance is effort after novelty has left. It holds attention through repetition, setbacks, and the long middle where progress is real but rarely dramatic.
HOW A HIGH SIGNAL APPEARS
You can continue when the work offers little immediate emotional reward.
Obstacles are more likely to change your method than end your effort.
People may rely on you most in the stage after enthusiasm has faded.
THE SHADOW
Endurance can feed a sunk-cost loop when stopping would release energy for something more worthy.
Difficulty is not proof of value; sometimes persistence should preserve the goal by changing the path.
OFTEN CONFUSED WITH DETERMINATION
Perseverance carries effort across time. Determination chooses the direction and deliberately returns to it after disruption.
SOUL VIRTUES TEST RESULTS MEANING
How to read your Soul Virtues test results.
Your result is a profile, not a verdict. The ranking tells you which patterns appeared most consistently in this set of answers; the percentages tell you how strongly your responses aligned with each item group.
Primary virtue
Your highest score is the clearest signal in this run. It describes the behavior pattern your answers supported most consistently—not your worth, destiny, or permanent identity.
Secondary virtue
The second score changes the character of the first. Determination with Kindness may pursue goals through care; Determination with Justice may pursue them through fairness and accountability.
Close or mixed result
A gap of four points or fewer is shown as a close signal. Treat both virtues as part of the interpretation instead of trying to decide which label is the “real” one.
Lowest signal
Your lowest score is not a defect. It is simply the virtue least expressed by this answer pattern. Context, mood, life stage, and honest uncertainty can all affect it.
Alignment, not percentile
A 78% score does not mean you outrank 78% of people. This test has no population norm. It means your keyed responses reached 78% of the available alignment range.
Unresolved signal
If all seven scores are nearly level, the test refuses to manufacture a winner. The full spread is the result, and retaking is useful only if your first answers did not reflect your usual behavior.

This is an independent alternative for people who want a longer version, transparent scoring, detailed result meaning, and a shareable seven-score link.
LOOKING FOR A SOUL VIRTUES EXTRACTOR ALTERNATIVE OR LONGER VERSION?
Use this test when you want more than a color badge.
The 66-item format separates neighboring ideas—such as Determination versus Perseverance, or Justice versus Integrity—before producing a complete profile. It takes longer than a lightweight quiz because the result has more evidence behind it.
HOW TO GET A SPECIFIC SOUL VIRTUE
Can you get the virtue you want?
You can force any quiz result by choosing the obvious answers, but that only tests your ability to recognize a label. For a meaningful result, answer from repeated real behavior. These are the patterns that naturally raise each signal:
How to get Determination
You recover by choosing a next move instead of waiting to feel ready. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Determination score.
How to get Bravery
You are more willing than most to enter a tense conversation before it becomes easy. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Bravery score.
How to get Justice
You look for whose voice, rights, or consequences are missing from a decision. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Justice score.
How to get Kindness
You tend to register emotional weather that other people overlook. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Kindness score.
How to get Patience
You can remain usable when a process moves more slowly than expected. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Patience score.
How to get Integrity
Promises continue to matter after the social moment in which you made them has passed. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Integrity score.
How to get Perseverance
You can continue when the work offers little immediate emotional reward. Responses that consistently reflect this pattern will raise the Perseverance score.
Should you retake the Soul Virtues Test? Retake it if you misunderstood the scale, answered as an idealized version of yourself, or completed it in an unusual emotional state. Repeating until a preferred color appears makes the link less descriptive, not more accurate.
OPEN METHOD / PRIVATE RESPONSES
Less mystery in the scoring.
Grounded items
Fifty-six items preserve public-domain IPIP wording and scoring keys. Ten original items isolate Determination as choice, commitment, and agency.
Symmetric scoring
Positive and reverse-keyed responses are scored on the same 1–5 scale. Every result is an alignment score, never a population percentile.
Local by default
Your responses stay on this device. A saved session uses browser storage only and is removed when you finish or restart.
Shareable without a database
A result link contains only the seven final percentages. It does not include individual answers, an account identifier, or a server-side result record.
Important context. This is an independent, fan-inspired personality experience—not a clinical assessment and not affiliated with Toby Fox or UNDERTALE. Six colored soul traits are named in the game; associating the red soul with Determination is a fan tradition, not confirmed canon.
